After years of teasing, the live-action remake of ‘The Lion King’ arrives in theaters next month.
And as its July 19th release draws rapidly closer, who better than Beyonce to crank anticipation into overdrive.
Moments ago, Queen Bey uncaged an all-new trailer of the Disney flick – one which gifts viewers the first glimpse of her character Nala in action. We also hear her speak too.

I strongly disagree with that. Bey has always had the same speaking voice. One might say she is sounding like Kelly Rowland but that has always been the case even when she was in DC. Alexandra Burke tries to sound like a white UK woman but Beyonce’s voice is authentic.

I got a feeling this will Flop to Disney’s standards simply because most ppl are all too familiar with this story and this is just a real tell… IF they were also retelling lion king 2 in the same movie or added to the original story in sum way then I’d be interested.
Also Nalas original voice actor is similar to b’s voice here marginally speaking. But I’m already bored. I just hope it doesn’t flop which requires heavy promo.

I STRONGLY disagree with that because Disney is very smart about their release dates:
1. Think about all the school programs and summer camps that will do a field trip to see this movie (that alone is a box office success).
2. Think about all the parents that will take their kids to see this because of the PG rating (again, that is a box office success).
3. Think about Disney’s relationships with movie theaters. The movie will be shown at mostly all major movie theaters (that sets up the movie for additional box office success).
4. Numerous planned film screenings are already setting up for this premier (that will draw promotion from the critics’ reviews).
5. There are some adults that enjoy cartoon movies and this might appeal to them as well since those same adults saw the original Lion King movie.
The only acting she might be good at … behind the scenes.. that is… I’m just sayin
