The album is inspired by his memoir ‘Let Love Has the Last Word‘ and is supported by tunes which feature performances by Jill Scott, Swizz Beatz, Dwele, Leikeli47, Karriem Riggins, Samora Pinderhughes and A-Trak.
He had this to say about the release…
The book was the seed that started me in this conversation. I believe that the energy of love and the act of love, the practice of it, is the thing that we can use as individuals and as people to overcome the heaviness of the times. When I say ‘Let Love,’ I’m saying put love into practice. Allow love to be the law that we abide by.
When I became a parent, I thought that I would be the one teaching my daughter. Boy was I wrong! My daughter has become one of my favorite teachers along with LIFE.
