Retro Rewind: Michelle Williams Soars On Broadway

Published: Saturday 17th Aug 2019 by David

Michelle Williams isn’t just a ‘Survivor,’ she’s a thriver.

It’s been 20 years since the multifaceted performer joined Destiny’s Child and cemented her spot as not only as a defining member of the legendary group but as a talent whose gift lends itself to many arenas.

Fending off the sometimes unkind pitchforks pointed her way online, she’s risen above to shine with projects such as ‘Heart To Yours’ and ‘Journey To Freedom’ – which featured the still bumping ‘Say Yes.’

Particularly potent has been her foray into Broadway and stage stage productions more broadly.

Join us below, as TGJ’s Retro Rewind revisits the likes of ‘Aida’, ‘The Color Purple’, and ‘Chicago.’

‘AIDA’:

‘Chicago’:

‘The Color Purple’:

Salute Ms. Williams!

Based on the clips it looks like she did OK. (Not hating.) I’m just happy that she is feeling better and is back out there.
