Did You Miss It? Cast of New ‘Suicide Squad’ Has Been Confirmed [Idris Elba, Viola Davis, etc.]

August 2021 cannot come soon enough for fans of DC’s ‘Suicide Squad’ after official news regarding the franchise’s star-studded cast has been unveiled.

With its Will Smith 2016 live action edition grossing a whopping $750 million worldwide, it stands as one of DC’s most successful films to date.  Smith’s exit for the long-awaited sequel may have come as a blow to fans (click here to read more), but – according to screenwriter James Gunn – many of the original’s cast with reprise their roles (such as Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller).

Finally putting rumors to rest, Gunn took to Twitter recently to list the slew of new faces joining Davis and Robbie for round 2 of the ‘Squad.’  See the full list inside:

Earlier this year it was reported Elba would be replacing Will Smith as Deadshot (as we stated here), but now it’s believed he may be portraying a different character.
