Draya Michele believes black audiences have been brainwashed by the world of Reality TV and has apologised for the part she played in it during her time on ‘Basketball Wives LA.’

Michele starred in the hit TV show ‘Basketball Wives LA’ (a spinoff of the often-panned Basketball Wives Miami) and joined Brandi Maxielle, Malaysia Pargo and Jackie Christie to push the show to ratings gold before it was colonised by Miami’s leading ladies in 2015.
Today, Draya looks back at her time on the series and reveals that she is still haunted by her time on the show.
Why? The part it played in convincing black TV lovers that violence and dysfunction are a necessary part of TV shows fronted by African-Americans.

Draya did that show the right way, exit on a high note – like Angel Brinks (and kinda like Tami Roman) and come up with a branding plan that will outlive your mark on the show.
