Issa Rae is readying a new drama set to soar into action in 2020!

‘Perfect’ is a remake of Paolo Genovese’s Italian dramedy ‘Perfetti Sconosciuti‘ and will see Rae stand tall as its star, writer and producer with the full support of a cast she is piecing together as you read this.

Its premise?

A  group of friends  play a high-stakes game at a dinner party. The game: they must place their phones upright on the table and only make calls and texts in public to prove they have no skeletons in their closets. The game, however, makes them realize that they might not know everything about each other in the way that they thought they did.

I’m really looking forward to bringing this funny and compelling story to a new demographic and could not be happier about partnering with the Spyglass team to make it happen. I loved the original film and think the story will resonate with audiences here [in the U.S.] as well.
