As reported, the Oscar and Grammy winner was handpicked by the legend to play her prior to her passing in 2018.
Set for release in 2020, the highly anticipated biopic chronicles the rise of Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her worldwide superstardom.
Directed by Liesl Tommy and co-produced by Harvey Mason Jr, ‘RESPECT’ tells the phenomenal true story of the diva’s journey to musical royalty.
