Snoop Dogg Apologises To Gayle King

Published: Thursday 13th Feb 2020 by David

Snoop Dogg has apologised to beloved journalist Gayle King for kicking off the chain of events which led to her upsetting month. In an interview with Lisa Leslie, Gayle brought up an incident involving the late Kobe Bryant which saw him accused of rape. Enraged by what he perceived to be an effort to besmirch the athlete, Snoop used social media to issue the following threat:  “Respect the family and back off, bitch, before we come get you.” She was forced to hire security shortly after. Now, Dogg is apologising for his remarks and released a statement he hopes will inspire healing.” Two wrongs don’t make no right. When you’re wrong, you gotta fix it,” he said in an Instagram video released Wednesday. “Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions…me being angry at questions that you asked.”                                                      He added:

“Should have handled it way different than that. I was raised way better than that. So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful.”

“ I didn’t mean for it to be like that. I was just expressing myself for a friend who wasn’t here to defend himself. A lot of people look up to me and they love me and they appreciate me, so I want to let them know that anytime you mess up, it’s okay to fix it, it’s okay to man up and say that you’re wrong.  I apologize. Hopefully we can sit down and talk privately. Have a good day.” Gayle is yet to respond.       Do you think she should?

Don’t blame Snoop, blame the mysognistic male attitude towards women in a male dominated hip hop field. He is just projecting his culture. No one told him that everything isn’t about b*** and h*** and slapping them around to assert dominance.

I don’t think she needs to respond publicly. For all we know, she may have already responded privately. Just because they are celebrities doesn’t mean that they have to resolve their personal disputes publicly. Although Snoop needed to publicly apologize since his verbal attack was public, a public or private response from Gayle would be appropriate. So yes, I think she should respond one way or another.

Gale deserved it. Don’t know why Snoop apologized. Her and Oprah are a disgrace to humanity
