‘America’s Next Top Model’ Judge Reveals That He Has PTSD From The Series

Jay Manuel and J Alexander of ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ reveal that producers who spoke out against some of the show’s disconcerting (and offensive) challenges were fired on the spot.

In an Instagram Live conversation, the creatives detailed their time on the show and offered insight into some of the decisions Banks and producer Ken Mok have apologised for making this month.

Full story below…

The artists starred in the show’s formative seasons, and explained that they are speaking about the series now because their contracts prevented them from saying anything about it for five years after their last on-camera appearance.

Though keen to stress that they feel Banks has been thrown under the bus, they did explain that everything that took place on the series happened because she wanted it to and that Jay Manuel is suffering from PTSD because of  what he witnessed behind its heavily edited scenes.

Manuel also confirmed a report which claimed that the general public has only seen a version of the infamous “we were all rooting for you” moment on the series because the unedited version saw Bank attack Tiffany Richardson‘s family and its living arrangements.

You can go back to your house and sleep on the mattress on the floor with your baby.

Y’all trying to end Tyra’s career ofF of old àss videos. Everyone who partook in ANTM was not forced to be there and could have left at anytime. You could have also spoke up when it was happening.

Agree 100%. I wonder what Naomi thinks of all of this. And what about the other countries versions? Isn’t there an Australia’s next top model and other countries?

  2. Only Facts May 13, 2020

I wonder why VH1 pulled the plug on ANTM after two seasons…

i’m here because I stopped watching after AzMarie was thrown off by Tyra in a shady a$$ way.. haven’t supported Tyra or the show since that episode….

These men were just as nasty as Tyra was at times. Simon Cowell was the same way on AI. It was funny back then to be shocking and cruel and they all played along. Now that some of these people are out of work they want to attack Tyra and Ellen because it’s the popular thing to do. It wasn’t a problem when you were getting paid, so don’t make it a problem now.

Weak a** Generation Z-ers are so sensitive about everything. Top Model was an amazing platform for these women who CHOSE to go on the show, be on REALITY TELEVISION FOR RATINGS, and have a WHOLE model career when it was all said and done.

There are no complaints unless you weak as hell. Go sit down. Tyra is STILL my girl!!!

It’s actually millennials who are being the most critical because we were there when it happened. Gen Z is too young to remember any of this.
