Jimmy Fallon is used to putting guests in the hot seat. However, this week he found himself on the receiving end of ample heat.
And it all centers on a 2000 Saturday Night Live sketch where the comic imitated Chris Rock by donning blackface.
Seemingly randomly, the clip went viral in the here and now and saw Fallon come under fire.
Moments ago, he attempted to quell the flames by releasing a statement.
His words below…
“In 2000, while on SNL, I made a terrible decision to do an impersonation of Chris Rock while in blackface. There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable.”
