After months of murmurs, Meagan Good is looking to silence critics who have long accused her of skin bleaching – a tactic of using creams or surgical procedures to lighten one’s complexion.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend to advertise her specialized head wraps, she took time to clap back at a user who wielded yet another claim of appearance alteration. In the statement, the 38-year-old actress explained:
“I didn’t Queen. A (unbeknownst to me) unlicensed aesthetician gave me a product to correct a sun damage mark on my forehead that messed up skin. By the grace of God only; I’m about 80% through recovery and regaining my color daily,” she said. “To be honest it was a beyond painful and traumatic experience because I would never wish that on anybody. I’d really appreciate if you wouldn’t continue to spread assumptions and rumors. Godbless you.”

Lord Girl 🤦🏾♂️ You couldn’t even drop a little science on us for the folks that stayed in school?? Like, how you gonna treat a sun damage mark on your forehead and end up lightening your whole face AND NECK ??? 🧐🧐🧐 Now perhaps the law of physics may have made an exception for you – but if your neck is as light as your face – then your chest is probably not 5 shades darker (like the before photo) – and no this isn’t clever makeup blending between neck and chest. So pray tell girl – you legit got vitiligo and had to bleach your whole body to match or nah???? 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️
It’s ridiculous to compare pictures without regard to flash photography and makeup. The photo of her alleged bleaching at the Black and Blue after party was taken in October of last year, but if you look at photos of Meagan two months later at the 51st NAACP Image Awards, she looks much darker. It’s not a matter of bleaching.
Meagan just cut the BS and just admit that you bleached…
At least you are going back to your natural color.
