Ever keen to keep the magnifying glass on some of R&B’s brightest talents, look inside to see the latest happenings of some of the genre’s best movers and shakers.

Peek inside for news on TearMarr, Lloyd, Anthony Hamilton, and Ro James.

TeaMarr

Look below to catch TeaMarr’s new video, ‘Chasing Amy.’

Her debut album, ‘Before I Spill Myself,’ comes courtesy of Issa Rae’s Raedio & Atlantic Records and features appearances from Rhapsody, SIR, & D.Smoke.

Anthony Hamilton

“Back Together” – produced by 9th Wonder – features vocals from the late great Rick James and is the latest single from Anthony Hamilton’s forthcoming project.

The yet-titled effort is reportedly due summer 2020 and will be his first independent release via his own imprint My Music Box.

Lloyd

Shining with contributions from Keith Sweat and Teddy Riley, ‘Slow Wine Bass Line’ – the newest single from Lloyd – comes as a “must hear” throwback to the 90’s.

Produced by StreetLove and RodCam, the tune prominently samples Sweat’s classic, “Right and a Wrong Way,” and acts as the first offering from Lloyd’s upcoming album (the follow up to 2018’s album ‘Tru’).

Ro James

Boasting appearances from GRAMMY winners Brandy, Miguel, and more, R&B star Ro James has lifted the lid on his long-awaited sophomore album, ‘Mantic’ (May 29).

Released via ByStorm Entertainment in partnership with RCA Records, the 15-song set boasts production from Soundz, DJ Camper, Salaam Remi, Verse Simmonds, and more.

Remember when the ladies of R&B f****** wrecked 2013? Kelly- “Talk A Good Game”, Ciara- “CIARA”, Tamar- “Love & War”, Beyoncé- “BEYONCÉ”, Fantasia- “Side Effects of You”…and many other classics. R&B hasnt been the same since then. Everything went trap and the genre hasnt caught on to the true roots of its sound since then.
