Janelle Monáe could be suiting-up to save the world.
In a new interview with Empire, the R&B songstress revealed that one of her goals in life is to play the weather-bending Storm.
“I definitely have thrown it out there. One of my dreams has always been to play Storm.”
Previously, Storm has been portrayed by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp.
If given the chance, Monáe would love to continue the in their footsteps, saying:
“I don’t know if she comes in ‘Black Panther’, but it would be a dream to have her in it. I don’t know where they are with that. A lot of women have played Storm and they’ve done an exceptional job, and I would love to be in that line of artists and get to do Storm justice.”
We’d be here for it. Would you?!
The ‘I Like That’ singer recently appeared in ‘Homecoming’ season 2 on Prime Video and is set to appear in a new horror movie, ‘Antebellum,’ which is out on August 24.
