Lupita Nyong’o is no longer attached to Viola Davis’ ‘The Woman King’.

Davis and her husband Julius Tennon are to produce the picture in partnership with the director Gina Prince-Bythewood for their JuVee Productions company.
Lupita was enlisted to star in the movie alongside Viola but has now walked away from the project much to the dismay of movie goers who were looking forward to seeing the actresses rock out side by side.
Viola and Julius issued this statement celebrating Gina’s arrival.
We at JuVee are beyond excited to introduce this incredible story of the Women Warriors of The Dahomey Ahosi tribe to the world. It’s time that they truly occupy their place in history and in Gina Prince-Bythewood’s hands, it will be a gamechanger. This project could not be a more perfect example of our legacy.
