Jeannie Mai is ‘heartbroken‘ after being forced to quit the hit show ‘Dancing With The Stars’.
Citing pressing health concerns as the reason for her departure, find out what The Real co-host had to say about the unfortunate matter…
More details below…
Taking to ‘Good Morning America‘, the talkshow host divulged the details of her health ailment, which ultimately saw her hospitalized.
“My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery. I am heartbroken that my DWTS journey has to end here.
I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come.”
Mai was teamed with dancer Brandon Armstrong for this season of the show. The pair found themselves in the bottom two during last week’s show, October 26, but were saved by judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Posting to their official Instagram page, the show shared the following statement in regards to the TV presenter’s departure:
“Jeannie Mai will not be able to continue to compete on #DWTS this season due to a health concern that requires immediate attention. Jeannie has inspired us, along with millions of fans, with her energy and dedication. We wish her a full and speedy recovery. Since Jeannie had to withdraw from the competition, tonight’s show will feature the eight remaining couples and a single elimination.”
Sad news. We wish Jeannie the speediest of recoveries!
