After a nearly 4-year wait between seasons, fans of FX’s ‘Atlanta’ – a month before its March 24 season 3 premiere – were hit with a crushing blow Thursday (February 17) after its star Donald Glover confirmed the show’s fourth-go-round will be its last.

Details inside:

A five-time EMMY-winning series, ‘Atlanta’ left fans wanting more after the May 2018 close to its second season.  Unknown to many at the time, Glover wanted to call it quits then.

“To be honest, I wanted to end it at Season 2,” the 38-year-old actor-musician said. “Death is natural … When the conditions are right for something, they happen, and when the conditions aren’t right, they don’t happen. Things start to get weird … you can’t do too much. The story was always supposed to be what it was and the story, it really was us.”

As of time reported, it has not been confirmed if the final run will have 10 episodes like season 1 and 3.  Further, the tentative premiere date of season 4 has not been confirmed.
