Amidst news of a fresh wave of daytime talk shows set to launch later this year, it’s been reported that ‘The Real’ may be gearing up to wave goodbye.
The long-running series is currently in its eighth season and managed to find its footing in the competitive and notoriously unforgiving talk arena.
However, it’s being suggested by sources that its network Fox is pulling the plug.
Well, anchor Loni Love is addressing the reports head-on.
Find out what she had to say below…
On the future of the show, Loni said:
“It’s been a busy few days but I got a call from the studio.. no official decision has been made about #TheReal …I will be ok but please give grace to the 150 crew members this may affect… we will finish Season 8 and wait for official word.”
‘The Real’ launched in 2013 and saw Loni host alongside Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry, and Tamar Braxton.
Today, the comic currently co-anchors the latest incarnation of the show with Houghton, Mai, and Garcelle Beauvais.

The Real is a very good show and I have been watching it since day one. I love the ladies and the topics. I honestly hope they don’t get cancelled. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Tamera leaving was the final nail in the coffin. The post C**** set up is trash too. They had a good run.

I don’t know you remember when When she was saying that that she don’t need this that she didn’t care about this because she knew the show was gonna be canceled and she acts like she’s so high mighty I don’t like that about her she’s very mathematical stick. This is a good show the girls are terrific. Better than some of these silly shows you have now or bringing in the new season that are not funny. Keep the on the air. You could do worse!!!

Nick’s show can definitely go. He’s no example to young black me with the babies all over the place. How can you be an effective parent with limited time that he has and has to spread himself all over the place. Plus he’s too juvenile. Like the guest he has though.
The show has been circling the drain ever since they got rid of Tamar Braxton. The show was never the same and it was destined to fail. Tamera also leaving was the thing that made sure the show wouldn’t last. I know so many people who stopped watching the show after Tamar left. The show doesn’t even air in my area.
Tamar was too over the top. Dont miss her at all.

Tamar was way too negative and not a team player. You would think she’d be better than that having 4 older sister’s. I hate to say it but wasn’t sad to see her go. She was so very immature for most of the time she was there. And if they didn’t agree with here view point she could behave in a less than mature way. But I get it that’s what her fan’s like to see. I’m a woman of a particular age and I desire to see women who know how to handle conflict or rise above.

Get rid of that drunk, Loni but keep the show. The other women are a good mix.

I’m 72 yrs old, I’ve been watching the Real since day one, I record every episode. The Real is very informative and I love the conversations the ladies have and the topics they touch on every day. As a 72 yr old great- grandmother I can relate to every topic, situation and circumstance. If you remove this show you will be doing society a dis service, but that’s my opinion.
So sorry to see u all go. I truly enjoy your show the Real and all of their co hosts past and present but I truly believe u all and the Real Talk Show would surely b missed. But I do hope that in the end the show stays on. Cause u all knows how to do your show and keep your fans. Gods blessings b with u all.

I watch The Real every day. I hope they don’t take it off the air. Will be glad when Jeannie comes back. She helps give the show a good balance. Loni tells it like it is and I love her. Garcelle is a little naive and Adrienne is just too much of a prude. But all on all I love the show and will miss it if you take it off.
I watched the real from the beginning, I’ve come to love each one of you collectively, respectfully. I was hurt when Tamar left and said I wouldn’t watch again, but of course I did. Then Tamera left, I was heartbroken once again,I had so many questions as to what was really going on, I heard things but didn’t know what was real & what was not. Yet, I continued to watch & thought the show was gonna be okay. Now this!!! I wish I could have met these young ladies that would have been a dream come true, guess now all I can do is to continue to pray for them, love them from afar, & wish them all the very best in whatever they do, and to find the path God has prepared for them to follow. The original cast Loni, Tamar, Adrienne, & of course my HUNAE Jeanine Mai, just know ladies your biggest fan from day one in Philly love you more than she can say. 😥

I’m certainly hoping this is not true. I’m a faithful viewer and I love these ladies. I was worried after Tamera Housley decided to move on but when Garcelle (Fancy) replaced her I was like yes! Those 4 are such a great combination. I love how they are about uplifting other women as opposed to tearing women down. It’s sad that women tearing one another down is what people would rather see. PLEASE DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN. I know all the ladies will be okay if it’s truly the end but what other show can we watch where women aren’t going at one another. It will be a sad day for me 😭😭😭
I’ve watched the Real from day one. When I was working I recorded it to watch at night. Since I’ve retired I watch it everyday. The show is informative and touches on different ethnicities views. Please keep them on and bring back the audience.

Love the show with your down to earth subjects that friends would have together, love the chemistry between the cohosts and hopefully the network will make the correct move to allow your show to remain for another season!!!!
This is great talk show, got all different races and they talk from the heart. Pls leave on,2 many behind workers will b out of work. Think about that.

I think it’s because of the pandemic the girls has it had no audience and maybe the ratings went down. Fox 5 you are also canceling Nick Cannon show I think you need to give these two shows a chance. As for the real you need to find a way to bring the audience back even if it’s just a little bit of people I think the ratings will go back up. As for Nick Cannon give him a chance he just started the show I think it’s great both shows are great. If you take both shows off you need to find a good show to replace them.
The show was originally GREAT, but as all talk shows go, the departure of original hosts make a huge difference. In my opine, it’s the different personalities, opinions, looks, et cetera. Nothing lasts forever, but they had a good run. Tim’s for new ideologies. Please, however, take care of the staffers; everyone needs gainful employment…at least most of us; I know, I lost mine.
