Mark those calendars because ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is flying into theaters worldwide on May 27. 

Tom Cruise reprises his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

After more than three decades of service as a top Navy aviator, he feels contentment in elevating the field as a test pilot and avoiding the expectation that comes with ascending to a new rank.

However, when Maverick is tasked with training a group of Top Gun graduates for a unique mission like no other, he’s drawn into a journey that sees him forced to confront ghosts of his past and his own biggest fears.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis with Ed Harris and Val Kilmer.

Serving as the sequel to 1986 classic ‘Top Gun,’ it goes without saying that expectations are lofty for the film.
