Chris Rock is not returning to the Oscars as a host, and now he is revealing the real reason behind his decision.

Five months after the infamous slap from fellow actor Will Smith, Rock revealed during a show in Phoenix that he was asked to host next year’s ceremony.
However, Rock has since turned down the role and according to Arizona Republic, he said that returning would be like going back to the scene of a crime.
He even referenced O.J. Simpson and compared it to asking Nicole Brown Simpson “to go back to the restaurant” where she left her eyeglasses before being killed.
The ‘Grown Ups’ star also went on to joke about the size differences between him and Smith.
While it has been reported by Deadline that ABC’s President of Entertainment Craig Erwich is open to having Rock back, it appears that will not be happening.
Rock previously hosted the award show in 2005 and 2016.

The Oscars want ratings. Chris knows that’s why they are asking him to host again. Exploit the machismo the sad Will Smith attempted to display at the last telecast. No need.
