It’s been weeks since actor-comedian Aries Spears first battled backlash for an unprovoked verbal attack of Lizzo in which he compared her physique to the ‘sh*t emoji,’ but the topic is still finding its way to headlines thanks to commenters who continue to defend the GRAMMY winner.

Shortly after Spears clapped back at fellow comedian-actor Mike Epps for calling him a ‘b*tch’ for slamming Liz, the ‘Mad TV’ star found himself on the radar of another comic-actor:  Faizon Love.

Once Love’s stinging remarks made their way to the radar of Aries, the 47-year-old took to Instagram Friday (September 9) to offer a fiery response.

As seen in the clip above, Faizon – while chatting it up with ‘The Art of Dialogue’ – opted out of mincing words when discussing Aries’ diss to Lizzo.

“I mean, Lizzo is a phenomenon, and she’s talented, and he’s not so talented. He’s got one gear. He’s a, ‘Yo, son.’ But if you know the story of Aries Spears, he’s the guy we saw on Def Jam as a kid. He was 13, and 14 years old. They flew him to Hollywood, thinking he would be the next Eddie Murphy and ‘wamp, wamp.’ He was so angry,” Love shared.

Elsewhere in the chat, the ‘Friday’ star said he almost got into a physical altercation with Spears at one point and even likened his appearance to that of a raccoon.

“I was going to slap the shit out of him one time. Like this dumb muthaf-cka. At the comedy store, so many muthaf-ckas was gonna whoop his ass because he was this cocky kid,” he said before later sharing, “He always been a raccoon-looking n-gga to me … life put him in the raccoon world and he came out looking like that. So it doesn’t surprise me or anything. He’s looking for a joke. Lizzo’s not a joke, she’s a phenomenon […] Halle Berry has diabetes, you stupid fuck. Everybody’s body has a different thing.”

Spears wasted little time clapping back.

Taking to social media Friday afternoon, he uploaded a side-by-side photo of Love and the Mucinex mascot “Mr. Mucus” (seen above).  Alongside the post, he labeled Faizon’s statement ‘the dumbest sh-t ever said.’

“Big shout out to my guy @faizonlove I slid in yo DM’s & left you my math hit me instead of doing interviews throwin shade talkin bout u almost 👋🏾 me LOL 😂 ninja when!! & saying comedically I only have one gear makes as much sense as you saying chappelle wasn’t funny…..AT ALL! Hopefully I hear from you soon otherwise I’ll catch u on tv on thanksgiving for the MACYS DAY PARADE

Hours later, Faizon – while also shouting out late comedian-writer David A. Arnold – doubled down on suggesting Aries looked like a raccoon.
