Tiffany Haddish is speaking out in the wake of a shocking lawsuit leveled against her and comic Aries Spears.

Last week, a 22-year-old Jane Doe filed a suit against Haddish and Spears (on behalf of herself and her 15-year-old brother), alleging that the comics coerced them into filming sexually suggestive scenes when they were minors for numerous comedy sketches.
Filed in California’s Superior Court for Los Angeles County, the suit claims that the defendants “groomed” the sister and brother when they were 14 and seven years old, rendering them both “traumatized for life.”
Haddish’s attorney was swift with a statement to Variety, branding the suit “meritless” and stressing that the teens’ mother had “been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years.”
It continued:
“Every attorney who has initially taken on her case—and there were several—ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”
Now, Haddish herself has spoken. Moments ago on social media, the she shared the following:
“I know a lot of people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now. But, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.”
As for the specifics of the suit: Haddish and Spears are being sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor. In addition, Haddish is also being sued for negligent supervision/failure to warn, breach of fiduciary duty, and constructive fraud.

I discovered one of the videos has been on the internet since 2014. How Aries and Tiffany have continued to work is beyond me, because the content I skimmed through just now is beyond disgusting. Being a comedian doesn’t give you free license to say and do whatever you feel. You can’t go around justifying everything as a joke. Aries and Tiffany made light of one of the sickest offenses in the world and they used two minors to do it. I’ll be shocked and appalled if their projects don’t start getting canceled.

She did not just “act” in it. She supplied the victims not once but TWICE. I hope those children do not just get paid and go quietly away. Tiffany and Aries needs to be put in jail!! So disgusting…nothing she can say to make this better. The fact that they are not being fully dragged in the tv media and criminally charged is very frustrating and suspect, someone with some money is looking out for her for now, so far, probably why there were no charges although the mother tried to press charges.
