Rihanna surprised the masses at CinemaCon in Las Vegas today (April 27) today by announcing her upcoming role in the upcoming ‘Smurfs’ film.

The multi-hyphenate superstar, who is riding high from her performances at the Super Bowl and Oscars, took to the stage during Paramount Pictures‘ presentation to share that she’ll be appearing as a Smurfette in the forthcoming film.
RiRi, who is pregnant with her second child, joked that she hopes the gig will give her cool points with her kids in the future.
In addition to her acting role, the 35-year-old will also produce the film’s soundtrack – news that is sure to delight the Navy, who’ve been salivating for new music from the entrepreneurial force.
Rihanna onboarding the latest ‘Smurfs’ flick comes on the heels of movie roles in the likes of ‘Ocean’s 8’ and ‘Guava Island.’
