Taraji P. Henson is onboarding hit ABC show ‘Abbott Elementary.’

It was announced at PaleyFest LA, that the Golden Globe winner will appear in the finale of season 2.
Titled ‘Mom,’ the episode will aptly see Henson play Vanetta – the mother of lead character Janine (played by Quinta Brunson).
Serving as a major arc, Henson’s appearance takes place as the hit series delves further into the backstory of the show’s central protagonist.
Henson is no stranger to the TV arena, having earned awards and nominations aplenty for her performance as Cookie in ‘Empire.’
‘Abbott’s ”Mom’ episode will air at 9 p.m. ET on April 12.
