Jamie Foxx has broken his silence following the shock hospitalization that left many fearing the worst.
As reported, the superstar was rushed to hospital after suffering a “medical complication” on the set of his latest film.
The actor’s condition was kept so under wraps that it gave way to much speculation – both positive and grim.
Now, after being spotted in public for the first time last week, Foxx has opened up in an emotional video.

Taking to Instagram, Foxx wrote:
“Thank u a billion to everybody… been a long road but all the prayers great people and God got me through…. 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️”
Tearing up, he explained why he’s taken a while to speak up:
“I just didn’t want you to see me like that. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, a television show. I just didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.
But I did go to hell and back. My road to recovery had some potholes as well but I’m coming back, and I’m able to work.”
He went on to thank many. From his fans to his daughter Corinne Foxx and sister Deondra Dixon, who he says “didn’t let nothing out. They protected me.”
