According to Variety, the film earned $155 million at the U.S. box office. Because of this, it became the biggest opening weekend ever for a movie directed by a woman.
In total, ‘Barbie’ brought in $337 million at the global box office and was produced on a budget of $145 million.
Notably, the film bests ‘Creed III’ and ‘The Flash’ to become the most successful Warner Bros. Pictures release of the year.
‘Barbie’ features a variety of cast members, including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Dua Lipa, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae and more.

They cannot be serious with this Barbie stuff. I must be missing something because I don’t get the hype at all and I can’t believe something like is being glorified these days with all the negative body image and racial connotations that Barbie promoted for so many decades. But I shouldn’t be surprised, the movie has obviously been ordained by the industry and protected from criticism. Money speaks volumes, as always.
