Jonathan Majors generated major buzz at the Sundance Film Festival last year with ‘Magazine Dreams.’ Indeed, such was the buzz around the film – which chronicled the layered life of a bodybuilder – that the actor was being touted for awards glory.

However, his arrest in the domestic assault case with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari saw the film yanked from the release schedule.

And now, following Majors’ conviction on two of the four misdemeanor counts he faced, there are major developments with the title.

According to Variety, distributor Searchlight Pictures has quietly severed ties with the project – returning the rights to the movie back to its filmmakers.

Now, it’s being reported that Elijah Bynum-directed flick is back on the market and is being shopped to other possible distributors.

Suffice it to say, it’ll be interesting to see whether it’s picked up.

For, it’s yet to be determined what the collective industry (and audience) sentiment is towards the 34-year-old – who looked to be on a meteoric career trajectory

Throughout the length, breadth, and aftermath of his legal woes, Majors has maintained his innocence. As reported, he recently sat down for an exclusive interview on Good Morning America to echo as much, During said special, the star – who was dropped from the role of Kang the Conquerer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – expressed a hope that he’ll be able to work in Hollywood again.

Time will tell. Both for ‘Magazine Dreams’ and Majors’ prospects moving forward.

I read this earlier and it surprised me. They don’t want to give Will a path back to the big screen and they want to eliminate Jonathan too. We’re pretty much down to Denzel, Kevin Hart and Michael B. Jordan as far as theatrical releases go. That is a crying shame. The 90s were more kind.
