Season 5 of the ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ brought with it a scene many are deeming the realest to ever air on any ‘Housewives’ franchise to date.

Renowned for her quirky quips and humorous edge, Mary Cosby skewed much more serious as she sat down with her only son to discuss his addiction issues.

In the raw and unbridled scene, Robert Jr. opens up to his mother about the origins of his substance abuse and the myriad of drugs he had been taking to numb himself.

He also revealed how it was only his love for his mom that prevented him from ending his life.

In an update post-filming, Cosby revealed that her son is doing much better after seeking professional help.
