The uniqueness and diversity of British blackness is explored as we uncover what it means to hold dual identities here in the UK and that of our ‘back home’ cultural heritage. A wedding is the perfect time to honour both. It was my intention to build and nurture a team that reflected the cast for the contributors to feel seen and express their truth in an environment that felt safe. By assembling a crew of diverse industry professionals and creatives, the result was the contributors authentically gave themselves to the filming experience and Our Big Day showcases a young, proud, Black Britain on camera, and behind the scenes.”
