Over two decades after last starring in a ‘Scary Movie’ film, brothers Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans are reportedly suiting up to reprise their involvement in front of- and behind the cameras for the franchise’s sixth installment.

As reported, the siblings sent their fans into a frenzy with news of their involvement in the next chapter of the beloved horror movie parody.
Titled ‘Scary Movie 6,’ the new installment is set to storm theaters on June 12, 2026.
Powered by Paramount and Miramax, the upcoming edition will arrive 13 years after its predecessors and over two-and-a-half decades after the first which was developed by Shawn, Marlon, and their older brother Keenen Ivory Wayans.
Taking to Instagram on Friday (January 24), Marlon surprised fans with the official release date news.
“June 12, mark your calendars,” he told his 7.2 million followers on the platform. “Much needed laughter is coming your way.”
At writing, the Wayans have not confirmed if other beloved stars from the franchise (see: Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Shannon Elizabeth) will be joining them on the reboot.

Scary Movie 6 is terrible marketing seeing as to how HORRENDOUS Scary Movie 5 was.
They could’ve gotten more creative and named it Scary Movie Last Trilogy or something.
