The former Disney star, who is of Mexican descent, wept with empathy for immigrants who are being deported from America following Donald Trump‘s return to office.
As reported, the political polarizer – who is now serving his second term – signed an executive order calling for mass deportations.
During her tearful address, Gomez said:
“All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

She has since taken the post down.
Gomez made a follow-up post on her Instagram story with the caption, “Apparently it’s not okay to show empathy for people” after facing criticism from followers.
The actress and singer has yet to post anything else to her social media accounts.
I voted against this in November 2024. I’m not making it my issue in 2025! Especially when her fellow latinos voted in support of it in large numbers.
