Netflix has tapped Denzel Washington for its next high-octane title.

Unveiled during Netflix’s 2025 Upfronts, the thriller centers on a guard, a bank teller, and a master thief tangled in “a dangerous web of cons, double crosses, and shifting loyalties.” Written by Simon Kinberg (‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’), the film promises a layered blend of “romance, betrayal, and criminal ambition.”

Joining Washington will be Robert Pattinson and Daisy Edgar-Jones under the direction of ‘City of God’ filmmaker Fernando Meirelles. 

For Washington, it’s another bold career move following ‘Gladiator II’ and his upcoming Spike Lee crime drama ‘Highest 2 Lowest.’

Pattinson keeps the pedal to the metal post-‘Mickey 17,’ while Edgar-Jones continues to shine after ‘Twisters and On Swift Horses’.

With this powerhouse trio and a plot that’s anything but predictable, ‘Here Comes the Flood’ is already looking like Netflix’s next must-watch.
