During an appearance on The NeNe Leakes Show, the reality star opened up about the creation of the show – which she asserts was originally built around her.
Unpacking how she brought the lion’s share of the cast onboard, she stressed that Love’s enlisting was an external decision.
And with Leakes revealing that she was in contention for that particular spot, Braxton didn’t hold back with her sentiments.

Reacting to Leakes’ remarks, the 48-year-old said:
“I wish they would’ve told me that, because I wouldn’t have casted Big Back Cadillac.”
She went on to share how she wishes the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ got the gig instead, stressing that it would likely still be on air.

Braxton exited ‘The Real’ in 2016 in what was initially billed as a “mutual agreement.” However, subsequent reports pointed to triangulation of audience feedback, advertiser concerns, and on-set friction between the cast. The latter of which appears to be what Braxton’s long-held issue with Love is anchored in.
