James Gunn’s reboot of the DC hero delivered a massive $123 million domestic opening weekend, marking the second-highest debut ever for a Superman film.
Fronted by David Corenswet in his breakout turn as the Man of Steel, the film officially launches Gunn’s new DC Universe, and fans clearly showed up.
This marks Warner Bros.’ second $100 million+ opening of the year, a much-needed win in the superhero genre after a shaky few years.
