‘America’s Next Top Model’ Winner DEFENDS Tyra Banks’ Show, Slams “Woke” Psychoanalization

The announcement and trailer launch for ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ sent social timelines into a tizzy.

For years, there has been an ongoing discourse about the talent search show, which was helmed by Tyra Banks and saw hopefuls put through their paces in a bid for stardom in the fashion sphere.

And the only agreed-upon stance is that its legacy is…complicated.

Now, the new three-part Netflix documentary is set to place ANTM back into the spotlight, and the volume is set to be turned all the way up. And this time, Banks will be part of the conversation.

Ahead of its debut, the show’s first-ever winner, Adrianne Curry, is speaking up and out.

Full story below…

Taking to X, Curry (who won ‘Top Model’ in 2003) defended the show and wrote:

“I am deeply grateful I won the first season of top model. i think people psychoanalyzing it over 20 years later with a woke lens is absurd.”

She continued:

“I don’t trust people to not manipulate things I say for tv, so i decline everything. Also, the public is cult-like and cruel, so the last thing I want is a bunch of eyeballs on me. I hope the other girls do not have their words twisted in their netflix show.”

‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ premieres February 16 on Netflix.

At least Tyra didn’t traffic her girls off to billionaires’ islands. I doubt this will rehab her image, but she should feel lucky she was able to pump life into her diverse post-model career for as long as she did.

Yes, girl. Say it again. I agree. Tyra didn’t traffic not a one. Now, Naomi, well that’s a different story. I’m definitely gonna watch.
