Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are preparing for a brand new shared role: grandfatherhood.

The comedy legends’ families are officially growing, as Eddie’s son Eric Murphy and Martin’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence have announced they are expecting their first child together.

The newlyweds shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a series of chic monochrome photos.

In one snap, Jasmin proudly cradles her baby bump in an off-the-shoulder dress as Eric rests his head against her stomach.

Their joint caption read:

“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift ❤️❤️❤️”

The pregnancy announcement arrives less than a year after the pair quietly tied the knot last May. Eddie later confirmed the intimate church ceremony, revealing that the couple opted for a low-key wedding with just the two of them and an officiant.

Eric, 36, and Jasmin, 30, got engaged in late 2024 after several years of dating.

Their relationship has long drawn attention thanks to their famous fathers, both of whom have previously voiced support and joked about the comedic potential of their future grandchild.
