The New York premiere of ‘is God Is‘ drew a crowd of Sci-Fi and theater fans, celebrating one of the season’s most anticipated releases.

The film’s stars, Kara Young and Mallori Johnson, were in attendance alongside an impressive lineup that included Vivica A. Fox, Erika Alexander, and Janelle Monáe. 

Also present were the film’s writer, director, and producer Aleshea Harris, as well as producer Tessa Thompson.

‘is god is’ follows two sisters on a gripping, revenge-fueled journey as they confront a complicated and deeply rooted family history, one that pushes them to their limits. 

The film marks Harris’ directorial debut and is adapted from her award-winning stage play of the same name.
