The actor made the surprise announcement during NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation moments ago, sending longtime fans into a frenzy.

One of the projects is reportedly set up at Peacock, with the others said to be in various stages of development under Universal Television.

Diesel is serving as one of the executive producers.

The pilot script is being penned by Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who previously worked together on NBC’s ‘Shades of Blue.’

Diesel told attendees:

“Over the last decade, we’ve realized that the fans have wanted more. They wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories.”

The 58-year-old also admitted he was initially hesitant to bring the franchise to television, explaining that he wanted to protect the brand’s “integrity” and global appeal.

The ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise has grossed more than $7 billion worldwide across 11 movies. Its final film, ‘Fast Forever,’ is currently slated to hit theaters in March 2028.
