Fighting back tears in a new interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Burruss admitted she is still processing the breakup, confessing:
“I’m not healed.”
Trying to cope during the difficult split, the Xscape singer also revealed she tends to avoid discussing painful topics, sharing:
“I don’t like to talk about stuff because I don’t like to be emotional. I don’t like to be sad.”
Instead, she chooses to “lean into the positive” and keep herself busy through work and creativity.
The interview arrives as Burruss prepares to launch her one-woman show inspired by the end of her marriage, transforming heartbreak into art once again.
