Dwyane Wade‘s son Zaire Wade is facing a new legal development following his arrest last month on suspicion of domestic violence.
The 24-year-old has now been formally charged with a felony in connection with the June incident, which reportedly involved his alleged girlfriend and took place in Burbank, California.

According to PEOPLE, Zaire has been charged with felony inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent.
In the criminal complaint, prosecutors allege that he:
“willfully inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition”
The alleged victim has not been publicly identified.
As previously reported, Zaire was arrested on June 21 after police responded to reports of a woman screaming at a residence in Burbank. Officers reportedly found the woman with visible injuries.
At the time, the former basketball player was booked on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment. He was later released the same day on $50,000 bond.
Zaire is scheduled to be arraigned on July 16 in Pasadena, California.
As of writing, neither Zaire nor representatives for the Wade family have publicly commented on the felony charge.
