Raven-Symoné’s  ‘Cheetah Girls’ revival is happening, revealing the franchise is set to “Strut” Into a new era.

The Disney legend announced that a new movie titled “The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen” has been greenlit for Disney Channel, showcasing the beloved franchise to a new generation, executive-produced by Debra Martin Chase, who produced the original, alongside Symoné, who will also reprise her role as Galleria.

Original star Adrienne Bailon-Houghton will also return as Chanel.

‘The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen’ will follow Galleria and Chanel as they travel to Africa with Galleria’s daughter, Faith, and her three friends to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Along the way, the four teens will navigate friendship, discover their voices, and embrace the true Cheetah spirit as they work to save the preserve while ultimately taking the stage as the next generation of Cheetah Girls.

The revival has been highly requested for years, and now the next chapter of the franchise is officially moving forward. Production is set to begin this month in South Africa.
