Coco Jones may be saying hello to a whole new chapter as Hilary Banks.
Months after ‘Bel-Air’ wrapped its four-season run, Peacock is developing ‘Hilary’, a spinoff centered on Jones’ fan-favorite character.
Rather than simply extending the Banks family story, the prospective series would place Hilary firmly in the driver’s seat.

According to Deadline, the project finds Hilary impulsively relocating to New York after accepting a job from celebrity chef Yvonne Durand.
Determined to prove herself beyond the privilege and connections attached to the Banks name, she quickly discovers that career success, friendships, and romance in the Big Apple come with complications of their own.
Interestingly, the New York move creates a neat full-circle link to the original ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, which also ended with its version of Hilary heading east.
‘Girls Trip’ and ‘Harlem’ creator Tracy Oliver is writing the potential series, while Jones is also onboard as an executive producer.
The development continues a remarkable evolution for a show born from Morgan Cooper’s viral fan trailer. ‘Bel-Air’ became one of Peacock’s signature dramas, while Jones’ portrayal of Hilary quickly emerged as one of its standouts.
TGJ even hosted the UK launch screening for season 2.
No series order has been announced yet, but consider us intrigued.
