Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier Reunite for 'St. Denis Medical' Guest Role

Over 30 years after they brought laughs to America’s living rooms in the groundbreaking sketch comedy series ‘In Living Color,’ veteran comic-actors Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier are set to reunite on NBC’s forthcoming mockumentary series ‘St. Denis Medical.’

Full story below.

Ahead of the season 3 premiere of ‘St. Denis Medical’ on November 2, it’s been announced Wayans will guest star as Dr. Highland – a “charming but pompous” new doctor brought in to fill in while Grier’s character, Ron, recovers from surgery.

Only heightening anticipation for the breakout comedy’s return, the series is set at an understaffed Oregon hospital where dedicated doctors and nurses try to maintain their sanity while balancing the demands of their rigorous jobs.

Longtime fans of the actors know Wayans and Grier both earned their claims to fame in the early 90’s as members of the cast of ‘In Living Color,’ a game-changing sketch comedy series created by Wayans’ brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans.

They later teamed up for the short-lived Fox series ‘Damon in 1998 and Grier even appeared on a few episodes of Damon’s hit 2000’s sitcom ‘My Wife & Kids.’

Though far from distant post-‘In Living Color,’ their latest reunion still marks a full-circle moment for the two comedy legends.
