Meghan Markle could be returning to acting. The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly been offered a role in an upcoming UK-based production, just days after confirming her family’s move back to Britain.

Australian outlet news.com.au first reported the news. Entertainment reporter Bronte Coy described the offer as “significant” and said Meghan is “very excited about it.” She also called the role a “key part of the puzzle” behind the family’s decision to relocate.
Sources close to the Sussexes have not denied the reports. However, no details about the project or role have surfaced.
Meghan rose to fame as Rachel Zane in the legal drama ‘Suits,’ appearing in more than 100 episodes. She stepped away from acting after marrying Prince Harry in 2018, telling the BBC at the time that she did not view the move as giving anything up, but rather as “a new chapter.”
She recently made her first acting appearance in nearly a decade with a cameo as herself in the upcoming comedy ‘Close Personal Friends,’ starring Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
The Sussexes are set to arrive in the UK before the end of August and will live in a private residence outside London. There are no plans for them to resume royal duties.
