Teyana Taylor is stepping behind the camera, and she’s bringing some serious star power with her.
The Golden Globe winner is gearing up for her feature directorial debut, ‘Get Lite,’ and has added Storm Reid and Oscar-nominated heavyweights Leslie Odom Jr. and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor to its already stacked cast.

The Paramount film follows a gifted but sheltered dance student whose world is transformed after discovering love, inspiration, and a new sense of family in New York City’s subway scene. At the heart of the story is Litefeet, the energetic dance style born in Harlem, Taylor’s hometown.
Reid and Ceyair Wright lead the cast, with Woody McClain, Khayr Bullock and Tylil James also joining the lineup. Jodie Turner-Smith and Asante Blackk are reportedly in talks for key roles.
Production is slated to begin this month in NYC, with ‘Get Lite’ set to hit theatres August 20, 2027.
