Donald Glover continues to make his presence felt across a multitude of mediums – with his latest offering being a refreshed take on ‘Mr. & Mrs Smith.’

Returning to screens on Amazon’s Prime Video, its newest incarnation reimagines the narrative as a series.

Starring and produced by Glover (who appears alongside Maya Erskine), the show follows a faux couple who were paired together by a spy agency to enter an undercover marriage. What follows throughout the 8-episode series is a high-octane combination of romance and drama.

Ahead of the show’s February 2 debut, That Grape Juice caught up with Glover at the London premiere of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’

Chatting with TGJ’s Maya Egbo, the GRAMMY winner opened up about the series, its deeper themes, and his hotly anticipated new music.

Chrisean Rock is no stranger to headlines. Indeed, the social media staple morphed into such by way of her controversial antics – particularly with on-off partner Blueface.

She, however, says she is unfazed.

Finally! After seeing their previous seasons toast the indelible and historical marks made by Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, and Aretha Franklin to critical acclaim, the long-awaited return of National Geographic’s anthology series, ‘Genius,’ comes to a close this week with the premiere of ‘Genius: MLK/X.’

Dedicated to the legacies of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, the eight-episode season will chronicle the Civil Rights icons from their respective teenage years to their rises to fame as globally recognized leaders who – despite having opposing views – both fought the common enemy of oppression and White supremacy.

Drawing parallels in their unique journeys, ‘MLK/X’ – which stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre, Weruche Opia, Jayme Lawson, and more – will also examine their respective assassinations in ways never-before seen on TV.

After the first two episodes arrive on February 1, two episodes will air each week through February 22. Hop inside to see the official trailer.

Issa Rae is fed up.

Widely hailed as a trailblazer, the budding mogul adapted her internet-born ‘Awkward Black Girl’ show into the TV phenomenon ‘Insecure’– serving as the lead star, writer, and producer of both titles.

In the time since the latter wrapped, Rae has continued to charge forward – nabbing big roles in Hollywood and, perhaps most crucially, expanding her creative output by way of helming new shows such as ‘A Black Lady Sketch Show’ and ‘Rap Sh*t.’

However, a mere matter of weeks after the Max show was canceled after just two seasons (and months after ‘Sketch Show’ suffered a similar fate), the 39-year-old has poured out her frustrations about the climate that Black-led shows find themselves. And she’s opened up about the moves she’s eyeing to combat it.
