BET Studios has officially announced ‘KLUTCH Academy,’ its first original unscripted series.

Executive produced by renowned sports agent (and KLUTCH CEO) Rich Paul, the five-part documentary series provides a raw and unvarnished look into the basketball beginnings of six college players making a bid for professional careers.

After Michelle Williams rocked TV ratings for Hallmark with the holiday-inspired film, ‘Christmas in Harmony’ (as we reported here), her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland is looking to do the same with the yuletide-flavored, ‘Merry Liddle Christmas Baby.’

Arriving on screens November 27, the Kelly Fyffe-Marshall-directed ‘Baby’ comes as the third installment of Lifetime’s ‘Merry Liddle Christmas’ franchise and follows the top-rated ‘Merry Liddle Christmas’ (2019) and ‘Merry Liddle Christmas Wedding’ (2020).

‘Tyler Perry’s Bruh’ is back with more episodes of its titillating second season on BET+.

Anchored by Barry Brewer (“John”), Mahdi Cocci (“Tom”), Phillip Mullings Jr. (“Mike”), and Monti Washington (“Bill”), the original series chronicles the layered lives of four Black friends from college.

Before the first “trick-or-treat” could even ring out in the streets, Hallmark had already begun its official 2021 #CountdowntoChristmas campaign lined with 41 new, holiday-inspired films to get us in a yuletide mood.

After a well-received October 22 kick off, October 29 brought with it ‘Christmas in Harmony’ – a musical romantic comedy toplined by an all-star cast that included GRAMMY winner Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child), GRAMMY nominee Luke James, screen & stage legend Loretta Devine, and Ashleigh Murray as its leading lady.

And – if official reports are anything to judge by – their joint star power did more than brighten the top of the tree.  Look below to see how many small screens were illuminated by ‘Harmony’ on Friday.

With its 2018 debut, Tracy Morgan‘s ‘The Last O.G.’ became a game-changing, ratings knockout for TBS – even garnering the network its strongest premiere numbers for an original series.

In the years since, however, the laughs and critical acclaim have waned alongside a dwindling viewership that seemed poise to take its biggest hit once its award-winning leading lady, Tiffany Haddish, announced her exit in late 2020 after a three-season run.

Although the wait for new music from singer-songwriter Keri Hilson is still hot as ever, the GRAMMY-nominated songbird has made clear her intent to nest on the acting side of the entertainment spectrum.

Having already rocked TV ratings with made-for-television films ‘Don’t Waste Your Pretty’ (TV One), ‘Lust’ (Lifetime), and ‘The Hotline’ (BET Her) earlier this year, the 38-year-old is now setting her sights on a return to the big screen with the forthcoming film, ‘For the Love of Money.’

Leading a star-studded cast filled out by the likes of R&B royal Keith Sweat as well as Katt Williams, Rotimi, LisaRaye McCoy, Lyfe Jennings, Latto, DC Young Fly, and more, Hilson portrays a single mother who has to return to a life of crime to protect and provide for her young daughter.

‘Insecure’ has returned for its fifth and final season. And while it’s hard for fans to say goodbye, they’re undoubtedly in for a treat.
