‘Girls Trip’ proved to be the surprise smash few saw coming.

Unleashed last summer, the comedy – starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish – delivered big business at the box office. Indeed, made on a $20 million budget, the flick generated a whopping $140 million worldwide – making it one of the most successful releases of last year.

Naturally, anticipation is high for a follow-up – even though it hadn’t yet been announced.

Now, Queen Latifah has cranked up excitement levels by confirming that there will indeed be ‘Girls Trip’ sequel.

Michelle Williams‘ love story is heading to TV screens this Fall!

Back in April, the Destiny’s Child singer turned solo star announced to the world that she had become engaged to boyfriend Chad Johnson. 

Now fans will be able to see how the faith-focused couple are preparing – not only for their big day but for their lives together. For, Williams and Johnson have announced their new OWN reality series – ‘Chad Loves Michelle.’

Despite last year’s Primetime Emmy Awards boasting a slight improvement in ratings from its predecessor, the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards (which aired live from the Los Angeles Microsoft Theater on September 17th) took that promising trend back downward.

Drawing a record-low audience, this year’s showing – hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost of ‘Saturday Night Live’ – saw an 11 percent drop in viewership compared to the last two years.

Portrayed as this season’s villain, the ‘Basketball Wife’ took to the platform to explain why she chose not to attend its reunion and why she wants the show’s viewers to beware of Shaunie O’Neal…one of its cast members and producers.

Why? The ways in which O’Neal’s privileged position allows her to erase any scenes and storylines which paint her in an unflattering light.
