The Fifteen Percent Pledge brought major star power and even bigger purpose to Paramount Studios this weekend, closing out its 15th Street Block Party celebrations with an annual fundraising gala spotlighting Black entrepreneurs.

Hosted by Abby Phillip, the Los Angeles event honored Tina Knowles for her leadership and decades-long commitment to uplifting Black creatives and communities, with the crowd giving her a standing ovation during her acceptance moment.

Attendees included Meghan Markle, Kelly Rowland, Kimora Lee Simmons, Law Roach, Winnie Harlow, Chloe Bailey, Jeannie Mai, Rachel Zoe, and more.

Mary J. Blige is booked, busy, and continuing to blaze a trail.

The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul has decades of dominance under her belt, but isn’t slowing down.

Instead, she’s ramping up her output across both film and music.

As reported, the R&B royal re-upped her major deal with Lifetime for a slate of a films inspired by her iconic catalog of classics.

The latest is ‘Be Happy,’ which premieres on the network on February 7 at 8/7c.

Led by Tisha Campbell and directed by Gabourey Sidibe, the film follows 50-year-old Val, a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom who seeks to re-light the spark in her marriage after her child heads to college. The flick also stars Mekhi Phifer and Daryl Hornsby.

Ahead of the release of ‘Be Happy,’ That Grape Juice caught up with Blige at the New York City premiere of the film.

Speaking in an EXCLUSIVE interview with TGJ’s Chet Kincaid, MJB dished on the parallels between her journey and the film and her eagerly anticipated Las Vegas residency, ‘My Life, My Story,’ which kicks off on May 1.
