Shemar Moore’s contentious departure from ‘Criminal Minds’ has given the actor the time and space to focus on new projects.

What he’s been up to during said time? ‘The Bounce Back‘, a romantic comedy set to hit theatres on December 9th.

Directed by Youssef Delara, the project is loosely based on Karen Salmansohn’s book of the same name and also stars the comedian Bill Bellamy, Sheryl Underwood and Kali Hawk.

Welcome to another edition of Retro Rewind, the TGJ feature whipped up to celebrate TV and Film’s entertaining, and occasionally horrific, past.

Today, thirteen years after its release, we revisit Halle Berry‘s ‘Gothika.’

In it, the actress plays a psychiatrist working in a women’s mental hospital who ends up becoming a patient when she murders her husband.

However, all isn’t at it seems as her quest for justice sees her slip and slide into a world tainted by male privilege, police corruption and the sexual abuse of powerless women within the institutions the people she trusted were supposed to protect.

Acting titans Denzel Washington and Viola Davis re-team for the movie adaptation of their broadway hit ‘Fences.’

Set to arrive in US theaters on Christmas Day, the film – which already has Oscar buzz – is based in the 1950s and tells the tale of a once-promising baseball player (Washington) who now drives a trash truck and must deal with raising his family.
