We are over two weeks removed from Mariah Carey‘s shambolic performance at ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,’ but it’s still very much a hot topic of discussion among those closest to her.

As the finger pointing between Carey’s team and Dick Clark Productions sees no sign of ceasing, the pop icon’s ex-husband – Nick Cannon – took the opportunity to weigh in on the matter when he visited ‘Ellen’ today.  Citing ‘fluster’ as the reason for the diva’s lip sync fail, Cannon told the talk show audience:

“Anyone who knows about performing [knows that] things like that can go wrong on live television,” he said. “I do live television all the time; I screw up on America’s Got Talent all the time, so when there are people in your ear saying things and stuff, I think she got a little flustered.”

Oprah Winfrey has released stills from her movie adaptation of the Henrietta Lacks story.

Set to premiere on HBO in April, the movie will tell the true story of an African-American woman Henrietta whose cells were stolen by unscrupulous doctors who then used them to fill the pockets of pharmaceutical companies.

Why her cells were so valuable?

They were immortal.
